We are a producer of meticulously crafted bakery items with a commitment to using high-quality ingredients from hand-selected local farmers and producers all of whom share mutual values of respect for the environment and sustainability. This Is Us was established in 2020, an era where the global covid pandemic brought forth a seismic change in consumer behaviours and preferences towards food purchases and dining. The bakery sector experienced a growing curiosity for healthy & preservative-free ingredients, sourdough products, sustainability, convenience, transparency, local production and quality farm-to-table home dining experiences. This gap in the market presented a great opportunity, and for this reason, This is Us was born! Originally launching with a premium hero sourdough product line featuring 100% Australian Made Sourdough English Muffins and Sourdough Crumpets produced in small batches in the This Is Us Marrickville kitchen, using single-origin flour from Tamworth, with no preservatives, and are naturally leavened. Since its inception, the brand has diversified its product line to include a number of bakery and pastry items including intricately crafted celebration cakes and most recently the bakery has gone bricks and mortar.
